The “rugged mobile server” casing also can withstand from shock, drop, spills, water and dust.


Measures 16.2 x 12.5 x 4.6 and weighing around of 18.9 lbs, this machine is not a portable “15.6 inch” notebook, we think it is still comfortable to carry around if there is any emergency case. For storage needs, potential buyer will get a 500GB of Serial ATA disk drive for standard storage and up to 5TB RAID storage with RAID controller board and supports RAID levels 0, 1 and 5.

The 15.6 inch QuadraClear display with NVIDIA GeForce GT330M discrete class graphics with 1GB of video memory delivers clear, crisp and bright colors. The company claims if the display offers 800NITs brightness and “sunlight-readable”, meaning it still gives good viewing experience, even in the outdoor. The Getac’s full-sized membrane keyboard with LED backlit technology and integrated numeric pad offers fast, secure and comfortable to type on.

There is also a full range of connectivity features, includes a USB/eSATA combo port, three USB 2.0 port for connecting to other peripherals, two serial 9-pin D-sub ports, Bluetooth (v2.1+EDR class 2), two 10/100/1000 base-T Ethernet ports and 802.11 a/b/g/n WLAN with support up to 1000 meters.
