This notebook weighs in at 3.3 pounds and if you add the cage it is still only 15.9mm thick and the company says that this is the slimmest ultrabook they have made in the Elite line of notebooks.  The HP EliteBook Folio comes with multiple internet options for connectivity and two USB 3.0 ports, display port, card reader and also a headphone/microphone jack.

You will also get 802.11 a/b/g/n to 4G LTE for internet connectivity options and the EliteBook Folio 1040 G1 features the ForcePad touchpad.  Per Hewlett Packard the ForcePad is suppose to replicate the same gestures that are available on mobile devices.

There are two other notebooks available from HP that were announced however we wanted to take a look at the HP Elitebook Folio 1040 G1 notebook since it is the one we feel most people would want.  Coming in priced at only $1,299.00 it is a good price for what it has to offer.  If you are looking for a new notebook and don’t want to spend above $1000 for a laptop check out the HP Spectre 13 with Intel Haswell.  This comes in at $999 but there is a good chance that you will be able to find a good holiday deal some where to help you save a few bucks.
