Lately all we have really been seeing from Acer these days are the chromebooks like the C7 C720-2802 Chromebook however they now seem to be ready to take aim at building more Windows OS based systems. The new 21.5 inch Acer Aspire Z3-600 is the new machine from the company and they are looking at creating something that is more flexible and portable that will allow you to work wherever and whenever you want.
The question for the new Acer Aspire Z3-600 is whether or not its a tablet or an all-in-one PC. Acer stated that the Z3-600 is indeed an all in one desktop that will be powered by the J2580 Pentium processor from Intel. This is not expected to be a powerhouse as these specs lead us to think is just for use of web surfing, general productivity task and maybe a little gaming.
The Aspire Z3-600 comes with only 4GB of RAM, up to 750GB of hard drive space and integrated intel graphics. While it may not be the most high-end all in one it will not set you back much in the money department. The 21.5 inch Aspire Z3-600 is expected to cost just under $800.
We still consider the Acer Aspire Z3-600 to be a tablet. All-in-ones for the better sense are simply computers that look and feel like a tablet but can be docked so that you can use them as a desktop. Acer however decided that they would create their Z3-600 to come with a custom kickstand so that a dock would not be needed.
The company stated that 21.5 inch all-in-one will have a built in battery that would run for up to 2.5 hours and will come with a kickstand that would allow the tablet/PC to tilt up to 90 degrees to that you can use it from many angles to do different things. Some of those include using it in the kitchen to find and view recipes as well as playing games in the living room.
Acer also added full HD display to the Aspire Z3-600 and it comes with premium Harman Kardon speakers for your listening pleasure as Frank Chang, Dircetor of Desktop Product Management stated, “it will provide superb audio and visuals for movies, games and music. It’s also ergonomic.”
The 1080p touchscreen tablet in our opinion is expected to be available sometime within this month or early January 2014. What are your views on the new 21.5 inch Acer Aspire Z3-600? Do you think its worthy of being called an all-in-one PC or is it just a large tablet?
