Acer is really on the move with its line of Chromebooks and while they launched the $250 Intel Celeron/Haswell powered in October they also just introduced the $199 model but it only comes with half the RAM. However now it appears that the company will be offering the Acer C720 Chromebook with a touchscreen display.
Of course this means that the C720 Chromebook from Acer will sport a higher price but it will come with premium features one of those being the above mentioned touchscreen. Many people are just speculating at this point as Acer hasn’t officially announced anything.
How Do We Know About the Ace C720 Touch?
Well although Acer hasn’t said in a statement we have heard for months about this being a possibility and now in France Amazon is actually taking pre-orders for said C720 Chromebook for about $400 USD or 299 Euros. If and when it comes to the US it will probably be a little cheaper.
The Acer C720 Chromebook with a touchscreen display will actually still come with the Intel Celeron 2955U Haswell processor just like the other laptops that they currently have in the same lineup. However the features that will make this one more a fan favorite will be the touchscreen in addition to 32GB of storage. For those who didn’t know this is double the amount of storage thats on the cheaper models.
Specifications of the Acer C720
This version of the Chromebook from Acer comes with 4GB of RAM and 16GB of storage for the $250 model. They also come with 1366 x 768 megapixel display with a 11.6 inch screen. The touchscreen model that is in France for pre-order only comes with 2GB of RAM like the other $200 models.

We are not a 100 percent sure that Acer will be bringing the laptop to the US with the touchscreen but is does appear to exist. It would probably be in the companies best interest to offer the C720 with 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and the touchscreen but we will have to wait and see.
